SPARTA — Pope John XXIII Regional High School (Sparta, N.J.) defeated Sussex County Technical School (Sparta, N.J.) in girls varsity basketball on Saturday, January 27, 2018. The final score was 61-21. The first round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament took place at Pope John XXIII Regional High School.
Kenna Squier scored a game-high 25 points with 10 rebounds and eight steals for 12th seeded Pope John. Morgan Heller added 11 points with three 3-pointers and 10 rebounds. Sienna Klotz grabbed 10 rebounds.
Lindsey Kopf had seven points with a 3-pointer for 17th seeded Sussex Tech.
