Lenape Valley girls lacrosse team wins 6 in a row
STANHOPE. Sophomore Regina Williams has scored at least seven goals in a game four times this spring.
Regina Williams continued a torrid start to her sophomore campaign with a career-high nine-goal outburst, helping lift the Lenape Valley Regional High School girls lacrosse team to its sixth straight victory - a 14-8 decision - over Pope John on Saturday afternoon, April 22 in Sparta.
Williams, who added two assists and two ground balls, has 40 goals this season. She has scored at least seven goals in a game four times this spring.
Alison Church (two goals, one assist, three ground balls), Katie Giusti (one goal, two assists, two ground balls), Ashley Daley (one goal, one assist), Natalie Parzero (three ground balls), Cassidy Truesdell (three ground balls) and Kylee McCracken (eight saves) also aided the victory for the Patriots.
Lenape Valley (6-1) was scheduled to play host to Hackettstown at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 27.

Baseball
Michael Parker went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI to lead Lenape Valley to its only win of the week: a 3-1 victory over Kittatinny on Monday, April 17 in Stanhope.
The Patriots trailed, 1-0, before Lenape Valley scored three times in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Junior Will Kelly pitched a seven-hitter with four strikeouts and two walks and did not allow an earned run in a 90-pitch effort.
Lenape Valley (6-4) was scheduled to play at Bernards at 4 p.m. Friday, April 28.
Softball
The Patriots hammered out 15 hits - fueled by Lindsay Fehir (4-for-4, double, three RBI, two runs) and Adrianna Gangi (3-for-3, double, two RBI, run) - in an 11-0 five-inning victory over North Warren on Friday, April 21 in Blairstown.
Paige Henriksen twirled a five-inning six-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks to earn the win in the circle.
Lenape Valley (5-4) is scheduled to host Sparta at 4 p.m. April 28.
Boys lacrosse
Lenape Valley has won four of its past five games, including a 3-1 decision over Roxbury on April 22, to even its record at 4-4.
Christian Grauer (one goal, one assist, four ground balls), Eric Perez (one goal, four ground balls), Nat Sarnella (one goal), Troy Brennan (three ground balls) and Liam Kelly (nine saves) paced the win.
Perez leads the team in scoring with 15 goals and six assists, with Tyler Brennan (five goals, eight assists), Grauer (six goals, five assists), Luca Fowler (six goals, two assists) and Kevin Giusti (five goals, three assists) following.
The Patriots will play at Montville at 4 p.m. April 27.
Boys golf
The Patriots fell to Roxbury, 151-220, in the most recent match Thursday, April 20 at the Black Oak Country Club in Long Valley.
Kieran Marone shot a team-low 41 followed by Benjamin Mac Millan (46), Jaiden Rosenblatt (65), Catalina Villacis (68) and Josh Bory (72).
Lenape Valley (2-5) will meet North Warren at 3:30 p.m. April 27 at the Farmstead Golf Course in Lafayette.
