Farad M. Carver, 25 of Lindenwold, was sentenced to two years of probation. He must also perform 25 hours of community service and pay mandatory fines and fees.
He pleaded guilty on June 7 to theft, a third-degree crime. Carver admitted to stealing used car batteries from the Walmart in Hampton Township.
Sept. 27
Michael D. Hand, 27, of Highland Lakes was sentenced to 2 years’ probation and ordered to pay Restitution in the amount of $590.
He pleaded guilty on July 25, to one count of theft by failure to make proper disposition (a third-degree crime).
Oct. 4
Madison Westerkamp, 20 of Newton, was terminated from a prior term of PTI and sentenced to two years of probation with the possibility of early termination after 18 months if fully compliant. She was ordered to complete all conditions of PTI including 50 hours of community service work and to pay restitution totaling $1,041 and fines and fees totaling $205.
She pleaded guilty on Aug. 15, to theft, a third-degree crime, and to theft and hindering apprehension, both disorderly persons offenses.
The defendant took cash from Weis Market in Newton on Sept. 4, 2018, and took property from another on May 31 in Frankford Township and then provided false information to police officers during the investigation.
Joseph R. Denicola, 29, of Verona, was sentenced to two years of probation. He must also complete a TASC evaluation and pay mandatory fines and fees.
He pleaded guilty on Aug. 5, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime. Denicola admitted to possessing a controlled dangerous substance without a valid prescription from a licensed practitioner.
Oct. 11
Monika Wolverton, 32 of Andover, was sentenced to three years of mental health probation and 364 days in jail with credit for 39 days of time served. The defendant may be released from jail once probation establishes a comprehensive mental health plan. She was ordered to pay restitution of $696.42 and fines and fees totaling $280.
She pleaded guilty on Sept. 3, 2019, to forgery and theft by deception, third-degree crimes.
The defendant took an individual’s checks in Byram Township, forging same to pay for merchandise at the Mount Olive Walmart, and then returning the merchandise to receive cash refunds.
Oct. 15
Steven Kristiansen, 50 of Byram, pleaded guilty to burglary and attempted theft, both third-degree crimes. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 13, 2019.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to entering the Flatbrook Wildlife Management Area maintenance garage in Sandyston Township on May 27, and attempting to take various tools and property.
The case was investigated by Officer Steve Sutton of the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife, Bureau of Law Enforcement.
Oct. 21
Alicia Stabp, 38, of Newton, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a crime of the third degree.
Sentencing is presently scheduled for Dec. 6, 2019.
The defendant admitted she was in possession of heroin when arrested by Newton Police for a separate active arrest warrant.
