Newton man faces DWI charge

Adam Ralli, 32, of Newton was charged with driving while intoxicated after his motorcycle struck a deer about 10:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13 on Roseville Road in Byram.
When township officers arrived, they spoke to the driver, Ralli, who appeared to be intoxicated, police said. He performed several field sobriety tests, which he failed.
Ralli was arrested and taken to the police station, where he consented to and failed two breath tests.
He also was charged with careless driving and reckless driving and was ordered to appear in Andover-Joint Municipal Court.
DWI, leaving scene charges
Lindsey Krakowiak, 37, of Stanhope was charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to a report of a vehicle striking the McDonald’s sign about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11
The officer suspected the driver, Krakowiak, of being intoxicated and asked her to perform several field sobriety tests, which she failed, police said.
She was arrested and taken to the police station, where she consented to and failed two breath tests.
Krakowiak also was charged with open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to possess a registration card and failure to possess an insurance card.
She was released pending an appearance in Andover-Joint Municipal Court.
DWI, open container charges
Brendon Anthony, 57, of Great Meadows was charged with driving while intoxicated about 11:40 p.m. Oct. 7 after a police officer saw a vehicle on Route 206 fail to maintain its lane.
While speaking to the driver, Anthony, the officer suspected him of being intoxicated, police said. He was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, which he failed.
He was arrested, and a search of his vehicle produced an open alcoholic beverage container. He was taken to the police station, where he consented to and failed two breath tests.
Anthony also was charged with open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, failure to maintain lane, careless driving and reckless driving.
He was released pending an appearance in Andover-Joint Municipal Court.
DWI charge
Austin Benson, 23, was charged with driving while intoxicated about 12:30 a.m. Oct. 7 after an officer saw a vehicle on Route 206 that was traveling at a high rate of speed, failed to maintain its lane and drove through a red stop light.
While speaking to the driver, Benson, the officer suspected him of being intoxicated, police said. He was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, which he failed.
He was arrested and taken to the police station, where he consented to and failed two breath tests.
Benson also was charged with failure to maintain lane, failure to obey traffic signal and careless driving.
He was released pending an appearance in Andover-Joint Municipal Court.
