DWI arrest reported in Byram
BYRAM. The driver was also charged with careless driving and reckless driving.

On September 3, at around 2:42 a.m., a member of the Byram Township Police Department reported seeing a vehicle with an inoperable brake light traveling on Route 206. The officer followed behind the vehicle as it moved to Tamarack Road and noticed that the driver did not keep right to stay within its lane. The officer then pulled the vehicle over. After speaking with the driver, Samuel Hernandez Yepes, 35, of Newton, the officer reportedly suspected that Yepes may have been intoxicated.
Yepes was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, which he failed, according to the police report. Yepes was arrested and transported to the police station where he consented to and failed two breath tests. He was charged with the following and released to a friend pending a mandatory Andover-Joint Municipal Court date: driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to keep right, and maintenance of lamps.
