Valley Road School students learn CPR
STANHOPE. Nurse helps middle school students and staff become certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
About 100 people at Valley Road School in Stanhope have become certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation with the help of nurse Jessica Frank.
“As a registered nurse, I know the importance of having this life-saving skill; to be able to jump in and possibly save a life when someone is experiencing cardiopulmonary arrest,” she said.
“Becoming a CPR certified instructor has always been a goal of mine, and now, thanks to the Stanhope Board of Education, I have the ability to certify our entire staff as well as our middle school students.”
Superintendent Steve Hagemann reacts said he is proud of Frank “for her commitment to educate our students and staff on the importance of being a first-responder.”
“Our staff, the parents of our students and the students themselves see the value of helping others and being prepared for emergency situations. Although we all hope nobody will need to use CPR, our Valley Road School community is prepared and ready if that need presents itself.”
