ANDOVER — You’ve heard of dinners, galas and silent auctions as fundraisers for various causes. On Oct. 20 a very different type of event will raise funds for Father John’s Animal House.
The Spa at Bella Boutique, on Newton-Sparta Road, will treat participants to amazing prices for spa services and products in exchange for a donation of $20 to the Animal Shelter. The spa will match each donation.
Dr. Brian Voynick has been the host of The Pet Shop on News 12 New Jersey for over 18 years. This program is on every weekend and features pet topics on Saturdays and pet adoptions on Sundays. Dr. Voynick has also been at American Animal Hospital, in Randolph, since 1985 and is a huge supporter of Father John's Animal House.
“I want to congratulate Father John’s on having an event like this. It’s something different and helps raise awareness of and encourage animal adoptions,” he said. “I commend Bella Boutique for their part in this fundraiser and encourage people to attend.” He added that events such as this are essential to help encourage pet adoption and diminish the euthanasia of animals in New Jersey.
Laura Rinaolo, the owner of Bella Boutique, said, “All the staff at Bella are animals lovers and the majority have dogs. It truly is our common thread right after making people feel pretty.”
It all started when long-time client, Marilyn Gribbler, vice president of the Board at Father John’s would leave information for the spa to pass out about upcoming fundraisers.
“We thought why not have our own and really contribute,” Rinaolo said, “People pay a flat $20 donation. That donation gives them access to a lot of great services at deeply discounted prices as well as 40% off all retail. Bella matches each $20 donation.”
New and current clients will be given massage discounts to the tune of one hour for $50 (regularly $85) and an hour-and-a-half massage for $70 (usually $120). A customized Facial will be just $68, Medical Grade Microdermabrasion, $75, Medical Grade Microdermabrasion with facial, $125, Eye Lash Tinting, $18 and All Natural Spray Tan, $28. All of these prices are greatly discounted for the event. An Olaplex Deep Conditioning Treatment with Blow Out will be $50, a 50-percent discount off of the norm, and a Keratin Blow out will be $85 (regularly $125). There will be big discounts for mini pedicures, full pedicures, Shellac Gel Nail Polish as well as for waxing ser-vices.
Boutique services will include discounted 50% off of jewelry, sunglasses, clothing, scarves, hair accessories and 40% off of Morrocan Oil, Lanza, GK, SkinMedica, Murad and Obagi products. There will be other specials as well.
