The Allman Betts Band is added to Rock, Ribs & Ridges lineup
Augusta. This year’s celebration of Southern rock and barbecue is the largest in-person event to be held in North Jersey since the pandemic began.
The Allman Betts Band, which includes the sons of three founding members of the legendary Allman Brothers Band, have been added to the concert lineup of the Rock, Ribs & Ridges Festival, to be held June 25-27 at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta.
The band will replace a scheduled performance by the Marshall Tucker Band, which has cancelled their appearance.
Formed in November 2018, the Allman Betts Band includes Devon Allman, son of Gregg Allman; Duane Betts, son of Dickey Betts; and Berry Duane Oakley, son of Berry Oakley. They play original songs along with covers of Allman Brothers songs.
“Like our chefs do, we immediately set out to make lemonade out of the lemons we were given,” said festival producer Howard Freeman of Promo1. “We’re proud to add the Allman Betts Band as they complement our goal of rewarding our dedicated fans with a bigger, better, and longer festival experience as a thank you for their loyalty during the pandemic.”
Presented by Franklin Sussex Automall, Rock, Ribs & Ridges presents Southern rock music and the country’s top barbecue pitmasters. This year’s festival is the largest in-person event to be held in North Jersey since the pandemic began.
The festival’s largest concert lineup ever features 11 artists performing over an expanded three-day weekend.
