Take Your Child to Work Day

Selective Insurance Company of America, the lead insurance company of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIGI), will host its annual Take Your Child to Work Day event today, Thursday, April 25 and will welcome more than 100 students from Sussex County school districts.
The event is designed for students currently in 2nd through 10th grades and will give kids the opportunity to shadow their parents at Selective’s Branchville, NJ headquarters, as well as take part in philanthropic projects. Students will participate in age-specific activities benefitting local organizations such as SCARC, Bentley Assisted Living, Father John’s Animal Shelter and others. Additionally, every child in attendance will have an opportunity to plant perennials at the entrance of the building in honor of Earth Day 2019.
WHAT: Student Activities for Take Your Child to Work Day at Selective Insurance include:
 Creating dog toys for animals at Father John’s Animal Shelter.
 Building dream catchers for residents at Bentley Assisted Living.
 Planting shrubs and perennials with Farmside Landscaping and Design for Earth Day.
 Designing placemats for Manna House.
 Organizing tote bags and overnight kits for children in shelters benefitting Family Promise of Sussex County.
 Assembling food drive items into family bags for SCARC’s Harvest Home Drive; Clients from SCARC will arrive at 11:30am to meet the students and pick up food drive items.
