Dominick J. Romano has announced the results of the RoNetco Supermarkets campaign against hunger through ShopRite’s Partners in Caring initiative. With seven stores in Sussex, Morris and Warren counties, he is proud and thankful to his associates and customers for raising $84,459.36 in the fight against hunger. Proceeds generated from various store-sponsored events will benefit local food banks and pantries who serve the needs of many residents who are nutritionally challenged to provide sufficient food for their families.

ShopRite associates band together annually to raise help and hope for the hungry in a friendly competition that spans across six states. Sponsored by ShopRite and General Mills, the 2013 ShopRite Partners in Caring program resulted in raising $1,215,853 in funds for regional food banks in the areas ShopRite serves.

As is the RoNetco tradition, associates from six of the seven ShopRite stores will be highlighted on a special-edition Cheerios box for their dedication and commitment to the fight against hunger.

“I commend our store associates for their teamwork in creating wonderful displays, conducting events and activities and boosting customer engagement to communicate the need to help others less fortunate”, says Dominick J. Romano. “Their energies clearly exemplify our business philosophy of being Partners in Caring for neighbors’ families, homes and communities and demonstrate ShopRite’s purpose of caring deeply about people and helping them to eat well and be happy.”
