“I wanted to find a business opportunity where I could provide a valuable service that local residents and businesses could benefit from,” he said. “Since I have always been sort of a closet nerd, it was a perfect fit.”
Gay selected Franklin as his location for its central location for Sussex County customers as well as those NerdsToGo serves in Dover, Rockaway, Kinnelon, and Butler.
“The location allows for fast and convenient access to customer homes and businesses,” he said.
NerdsToGo provides many services both in the store and at people's homes. Gay said that the most sought-after services are computer tune ups and virus/Malware removal.
“We are full service, meaning we offer not only service, but also new computer systems, installation and data transfer, as well as one on one training,” he said.
Gay said he only employs “experienced certified 'nerds.'” He added,”As the owner my job is to handle sales and customer service to assure 100% customer happiness: that is our most basic goal.”

When Gay is not busy with computers, he enjoys the sport of golf or reading books about submarines or espionage.
