Mayor 'bags it for hunger'

BYRAM — The ShopRite of Byram hosted Byram Township Mayor Jim Oscovitch at the annual “Bag It For Hunger” event held recently at the store.
Mayor Oscovitch joined Partners in Caring Co-Captains, Denise Lewis and Jen Wilson in raising awareness of hunger in communities served by ShopRite supermarkets. ShopRite’s Partners in Caring program has raised millions of dollars to help feed the hungry through the dedication and commitment of associates and customers alike.
All proceeds generated help local food banks to keep shelves full with non-perishable food, particularly now as temperatures grow cooler and communities prepare for seasonal changes.
RoNetco Supermarkets operates ShopRite stores in Sussex, Morris and Warren counties.
