Lexi Gray receives caring award

The Sussex County School Counselors Association (SCSCA) has awarded Kittatinny senior Alexandria Gray, with the High School Caring Award. The SCSCA presents this award to one Sussex County senior from each high school who has demonstrated extraordinary caring in some way during their high school career. The award is given to recognize generosity and selflessness among young people.
Lexi is a student who has shown exceptional character and tremendous leadership ability in a wide range of school and community activities. She is a dedicated captain on the KRHS Field Hockey Team and President of Peer Leadership. In addition, Lexi has participated in several benevolent organizations throughout her time at KRHS including Read Across America, Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute, The Safe Teen Driving Campaign, Interact Club, and Girls on the Run. Lexi has also been a long standing member of the Newton Rotary. Further, Lexi took a key role in developing the first Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) chapter at KRHS.
Lexi’s positive attitude and enthusiastic nature is contagious. She has made a tremendous impact on both her teachers and classmates. Lexi openly volunteers her time and assistance to a variety of causes on a daily basis and makes a positive difference in the lives of everyone she comes in contact with. Congratulations Lexi!
