A group of students from Kittatinny Regional High School attended the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute (LMTI) conference , a five day state-approved leadership camp offered to high school students throughout New Jersey.

Activities conducted at the camp provide tools and resources to help students gain individual self-confidence and develop prevention strategies to reduce drug and alcohol risks among their peers.

This year, 20 students were selected from Kittatinny and attended Camp Ralph Mason in Hardwick, NJ.

The camp features experienced motivational speakers and demonstrations that encourage students to step out of their own comfort zones, share their personal stories, and develop strong bonds with students from other schools.

Students are challenged physically, mentally, and emotionally with activities such as showcasing their talents on stage or climbing a 14-foot wall. At the end of the week, the students feel confident in their mission to bring back ideas to implement at Kittatinny that will foster positive choices and unification among the student body.
