Here come the rubber duckies!

— Adopt a duck at the Kiwanis Club’s Great Sparta Duck Race — Sparta Day May 14 — post time 2:30 p.m.
Nothing beats the sight of 600 ducks gently floating down the Walkill River in Station Park. For the last nine years Sparta Day goers, both adult and child, have been delighted and amused by the sight of these 600 yellow rubber duckies. The “lucky ducks” who win the in each of three races will be awarded prizes; 1st place Duck race winner will be awarded a $500 American Express card, 2nd place, $200 gift card, and 3rd place a $100 gift card.
Tickets are only $5 for each duck race entry and can be purchased Sparta Day or in advance by contacting Jeff Mullen at jmulle2@embarqmail.com or call Jeff at 973-729-1092. Winners do not need to be present. All the proceeds go to activities that Sparta Kiwanis organize to benefit the community and toward college scholarships.
