NEWTON — The Sussex County Community College's 30th commencement took place on Wednesday, May 17. A total of 465 students are scheduled to graduate this school year, and At Wednesday evening's ceremony, 242 students participated. The students include those who graduated on Wednesday, in January of this year and those who applied to graduate in August. The keynote speaker was Richard A. Levao, president of Bloomfield College in Essex County. Student spokesperson Amelia Macchietto (A.A. Liberal Arts) of Newton and Sussex County Freeholder Director Carl F. Lazzaro are among several other speakers who participated.
