Get to know scouting

STANHOPE — All boys going into grades 1 through 5 in the fall are invited to get to know scouting.

This event will include a circuit of learning stations to introduce a host of activities available in scouting.

These stations will be hands-on, and will include but not be limited to: a Model Campsite and packed backpack, Raingutter Regatta, Basic First Aid, a pinecone birdfeeder craft, leaf and bug identification, and physical fitness exercises and games.

Scouting develops knowledge, skills, teamwork and leadership.

Boys and their parents interested in learning more are encouraged to attend Scout Activity Day at the Stanhope United Methodist Church, #2 Rt 183 North, Netcong on Saturday, May 18 from 1 to 4 p.m.
