Andre's to host Guest Chef Night

Andre's Restaurant in Newton will be hosting its first Guest Chef Night on Saturday Jan. 11.

Chef Jesse Jones will be taking the helm for the night featuring a five-course Southern hospitality meal.

Jones is a rising star on the culinary scene and his style of southern cooking with a country French twist has earned him celebrity clients and a loyal following who love his style as much as his cuisine.

Jones worked with Master Chef Dennis Foy at Town Square Restaurant in Chatham and perfected his culinary skills and French technique under some of the top N.J. chefs including Master Chef David Drake at Stage House Tavern in Scotch Plains and Master Chef Craig Shelton at The Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station.

Some of the courses featured are:

Deconstructed scallop gumbo, crispy okra, andouille chips

Carolina brined double-cut rack of pork bourbon scented sweet potato, puree peppered savoy cabbage, cider glaze

Spiced and seared wild salmon with a basil-infused potato puree,

The five-course menu is $55 per person.
