The Long Pond School in Andover held its annual TREPS Marketplace on Dec. 6, where 21 student vendors sold homemade foods and gifts to wrap up a six-week learning program. TREPS, which takes its name from the word “entrepreneurs,” allows students in grades six through eight to learn the steps involved with developing and selling a product, and with running a business. Six workshops prepared the students by presenting topics such as business ownership, marketing and salesmanship. Products sold at the marketplace included homemade jewelry, garments, foods, soaps and holiday gifts. According to faculty advisors Ken Kuter and Liz Kapuscinski, "the marketplace was a great success and all of the students deserve congratulations for a job well done."
