Kittatinny's Teacher of the Year

Kittatinny Regional High School Student Council officers Kayla Chirip and Kyle Gert recently congratulated Scott Smith for being named their “Teacher of the Year” and presented him with an award from their student organization. Smith teaches Environmental Science, Biology I and Biology I Honors. According to department supervisor Mike Krupinski, “There is excellent rapport in Scott’s classroom. If you asked the students about his qualities, they probably would say that Scott is very understanding and willing to go the extra mile for them. He is highly respected by both students and colleagues.” Smith has been advisor for Envirothon, coordinator for Science League teams, and coach for the Biology I Science League team.
