Interfaith group names new director
Sussex County Julie E. Schuldner has been named executive director of the Sussex County Interfaith Hospitality Network/Family Promise. She replaces Carrie Radice, former executive director, who has moved on to another job. Schuldner, a resident of Sparta, comes to SCIHN/Family Promise with much planning and administrative experience, including past community outreach coordination for SCIHN/Family Promise itself. Established in Sussex County in 1998, the organization is a secular 501(c)3 non-profit organization coordinating the sheltering of homeless families with children, and single women, in participating churches and synagogues. A network of church/synagogue members and community volunteers provides meals and overnight housing for the program’s guests. This allows the family to save personal funds for security and other deposits to obtain permanent housing. For more information go to www.scihn.org
