Travel firm co-owner nominated as one of top 5 advisers
ANDOVER TWP. Nick Cutrone and his sisters took over Vista Travel Consultants after their mother’s death in 2019.
Nick Cutrone, chief executive and co-owner of Vista Travel Consultants in Andover Township, recently was nominated by the Virtuoso travel network as one of the top five travel advisers worldwide who specialize in culinary travel experiences.
He received the recognition at the annual Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas.
Vista Travel Consultants was founded by Cutrone’s mother, Sandy “Sofia,” in 1985 in Roslyn, N.Y.
For 38 years, the business has served as advisers for individuals, families, couples and small special-interest groups.
Cutrone worked in the health-care industry for more than 25 years in sales and marketing leadership roles with Novartis, Pfizer and Sanofi Pasteur.
In 2019, after his mother’s death, he along with his sisters Camille and Michelle continued to operate the business.
“We are not travel agents but rather travel advisers,” he said.
He is a member of the Virtuoso culinary, cruise and wellness communities, where he receives intensive continuing education on destinations and travel experiences for his clients.
“Anyone can sign up for a cooking class, but having firsthand knowledge of the region, the local products and most importantly the people is what separates us from the rest of the pack,” he said.
In addition to many culinary and wine travel selections, Cutrone has curated a diverse selection of itineraries, including a cashmere experience in Umbria, driving a Ferrari in Emilia-Romagna, working with a master chocolatier in Brussels, a private classical concert in Vienna or a guided tour of the historic Basilica Fourviere in Lyon.
