Stanhope. Jack Kacvynski, owner of Bell’s Mansion restaurant on Main Street, was awarded a plaque of appreciation for his work with the Stanhope Clean Communities Program. Owen Newson, secretary of the Stanhope Environmental Commission presented the plaque at a Stanhope council meeting this winter. For many years, Kacvynski has provided a free buffet of treats on his beautiful patio for hungry volunteers after they had finished cleaning Stanhope’s trails and parks. Hosting as many as 20 volunteers or more, he has provided such treats as ziti, pizza, chicken fingers, French fries and his famous perogies. Whether it be fall or spring, Kacvynski’s thoughtfulness has made the Stanhope Clean Communities Program a fun, and deliciou,s activity for residents.
