Stanhope resident graduates boot camp

STANHOPE — Private Nicholas M. Hand, 19, of Stanhope, graduated from the United States Marine Corp boot camp at Parris Island, SC, on Dec. 16, 2011. Hand successfully completed 13 weeks of basic training as part of the 1st Battalion, Bravo Company, Platoon No. 1097. Following 10 days of home leave he will report to Camp Lejeune, NC, for Marine Combat Training followed by training for his Military Occupational Specialty, which is aviation support.
