Local resident graduates boot camp

GREEN Private Christopher William Robinson, age 18, of Green Township, graduated from the United States Marine Corps boot camp at Parris Island on March 2. Robinson successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training as one of 70 recruits in Hotel Company Training Platoon 2020. Robinson is a life-long resident of Green Township and graduated from Newton High School in 2011. Following ten days home on leave, he will report to Marine Corps base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina for one month of military combat training and then military occupation specialty school at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. He joins his brother, Staff Sergeant Matthew Robinson, in the Marines Corps. The two are sons of Nadine and David Robinson of Green.
