Wantage — Elsie and John DeBlock of Wantage celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Dec. 3, 2011 at the Lamp Post Inn with friends and family. The following day they enjoyed a gathering with their church family at their home. The couple married in Paterson on Dec. 1, 1951. John DeBlock is a retired senior vice president of Citizens First National Bank, Ridgewood, and the couple purchased Wolfe Granite Memorials in 1980. The DeBlock family moved to “the country” in 1968 from Waldwick. They have three children, John David and his wife Maria of Alabama, Linda DeGroat and husband Dennis of Stillwater, Nancy Bookbinder and husband Robert of Middletown, N.Y. They have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They are members of the Hope Evangelical Free Church of Sussex and enjoy spending the winter months in Surprise, Ariz.
