Music lovers may choose among a ’60s dance party, the fourth annual Act Through Music Suicide Prevention & Awareness event and a performance by Tab Benoit & Anders Osborne this week.

Friday, July 26

Local singer-songwriter Barry McArdle will bring his engaging set to McQ’s Pub at Lake Lenape, 165 Andover Sparta Road, Newton, at 6 p.m.

Brian McLoughlin will play his acoustic selections at Lafayette House, 75 Route 15, at the same time.

New York Blues Hall of Famer and Fodera guitar artist Dave Fields will showcase his soulful singing and guitar virtuosity at Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza, Sparta, at 6:30 p.m.

Music bingo begins at 7 p.m. at Milk Street Distillery, 1 Milk St., Branchville.

Also at 7 p.m., the Andrea Nies Duo will perform at Brick & Brew, 27 Route 23, Franklin.

Sparta’s Summer Concert Series will feature French bluesman Manu Lanvin & the NYC Session Band in a free concert at 7 p.m. at Dykstra Park, 4 Mohawk Ave. Lanvin, acclaimed for his powerful blues-rock performances, has played prestigious stages across Europe and the United States, including the Olympia, Apollo Theater and Montreux Jazz Festival.

For a unique tribute experience, catch the “Piano Man Meets Rocket Man” show at 7 p.m. at Blue Arrow Farm, 86 Glenwood Road, Pine Island, N.Y. This seven-piece tribute show features Russ Davis as Elton John and John Cozolino as Billy Joel. Tickets may be purchased at bluearrowfarm.com

Chris Donnelly will perform at 8 p.m. at Sparta Pour House, 43 Center St.

Wraps up the night with karaoke at 9 p.m. at O’Reilly’s Pub & Grill, 271 Spring St., Newton.

Saturday, July 27

Jake Roggenkamp will play an acoustic set at 10 a.m. at the Sparta Farmers Market, 89 S. Sparta Ave.

Blue Arrow Farm hosts the fourth annual Act Through Music Suicide Prevention & Awareness event from 1 to 10 p.m. It features a full day of performances by various artists, including John Irizarry, John Stanley, Irish Handcuffs, Karma Farm, Skyward Fall, T.J. Santiago, SOUL DAWGS, Justus, and Stereo Jo. The event is rain or shine with a $20 donation at the door. Bring chairs or blankets.

Tennessee Honey will play a mix of new country and pop hits from the ’90s and today at 6 p.m. at Lafayette House.

Also at 6 p.m., Sunset View Farm, 27 Pierce Road, Lafayette, will host a Flower Power ‘60s Dance. This nostalgic event will feature ‘60s songs, dance lessons, trivia contests and light refreshments.

Pop/rock band Water Street will perform at Milk Street Distillery starting at 7 p.m.

At the same time, Chris Donnelly will be playing at McQ’s Pub at Lake Lenape while the Gripes bring their mix of classic rock, country and a touch of blues to Brick & Brew.

Sal Valentinetti, known as “Sal the Voice” from Season 11 of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” will headline at 8 p.m. at the Newton Theatre, 234 Spring St. Since his captivating audition on that reality-TV show, Valentinetti has performed in sold-out shows from Madison Square Garden to Las Vegas. Kevin Sullivan brings his acoustic tunes to O’Reilly’s Pub & Grill, starting at 9 p.m.

The Toll Collectors return to the Walpack Inn, 7 National Park Service Road Route 615, at 3 p.m. The group, featuring talented musicians Christina Alessi, Jon Andrew, Josh Bicknell, Sean-David Cunningham and Maribyrd, will be joined by special guest Joe Cirotti.

At 4 p.m., catch the blues-rock Broad’side Blues Band making their debut at Blue Arrow as part of the Hot Rod Cruise Night & Summer Concert Series hosted by Danny C.

At 5 p.m., enjoy Sean Henry’s weekly set at McQ’s Pub.

Ray Sikora hosts a karaoke night at Homestead Rest, 294 N. Church Road, Sparta, starting at 6:30 p.m.
