Two Vernon High School students receive technology leadership awards

VERNON-Kristyn Kovalcik and Catherine Calvacca, of Vernon Township High School, were recently recognized at the New Jersey Institute of Technology's Murray Center for Women in Technology Leadership Awards Banquet. Their awards, recognizing excellence in the fields of technology and engineering education, were presented by Dr. Alice White, Director of Integrated Photonics Research at Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies. They were nominated by their teacher, Steve Megna.
