John Waite to perform

NEWTON — John Waite, formerly of the 1970s band the Babys, will perform at the Newton Theatre Sept. 28 at 8 p.m.
This English musician served as lead vocalist for The Babys and Bad English before going off on his own. He has since produced numerous albums with international hits such as "Missing You."
Singer-songwriter Jill Jack will warm up the stage for Waite, who brings a charming stage presence and emotive song writing.
