Jazz at Momento's

Back again by popular demand is the Edward Michaels Trio at Momento Restaurant on Thursday, July 28, at 7 p.m. Edward Michaels has been performing over 40 years, playing piano for artists such as Tony Orlando, Frankie Lane, Jack Albertson, and the Coasters. He has a smooth appealing jazz style, playing many of the standard tunes of Cole Porter and Irving Berlin. He has also been a guest along with drummer Bob Nitkin on the Steve Ames cable television show. Bob Nitkin, drummer for the trio, is an accomplished performer who has been associated with some of the big bands and drummer Joe Morello. He currently judges for the annual Guitar Center Drum-Off. A new addition to the trio is Ron Naspo on bass. Ron is an accomplished performer and teacher of string bass. He is active in both the symphonic and jazz fields and has performed and toured the United States and Canada with Robert Joffrey, and later with the Don Shirley Trio.
