ANDOVER — The Andover Regional Board of Education has a vacancy on the board and is seeking a candidate to fill the former seat of Rod Mosner.
The board accepted Mosner’s resignation at its June 29 meeting and has 65 days to fill the vacancy.
Mosner, who could not be reached for comment, resigned for personal reasons, said Terry–Lee Van Auken, board secretary and school business administrator
All candidates will be interviewed by the Andover Regional Board of Education at the Aug. 18 regular meeting, at which the board is expected to make a decision.
There are nine seats on the board, one of which is Andover Borough.
Mosner represented Andover Township, and therefore interested candidates applying must be residents of the township.
The replacement named will fill the seat until the remaining term ends on Dec.31, 2015, according to Van Auken.
Siimultaneously the board is accepting applicants for three seats that will be on the November ballot for terms starting Jan. 1, 2016.
Interested applicants are requested to send a letter of interest or resume to Mrs. Terry-Lee VanAuken, SBA/BS, Andover Regional Board of Education, 707 Limecrest Road, Newton, New Jersey 07860 immediately.
