Dance academy garners awards

HIGHLAND LAKES — Pizazz! Dance Academy Elite Team received the prized top score award, #1 Ranked Champion from Star Dance Alliance Power Rankings for the entire NJ/PA Region. Their Lyrical Group entry, "Reflection", danced by: Talia Greenwood, Devan Meggiolaro, Katie Molin and Amanda Mudrick (sub for injured, Isabella Ferreri), received the highest ranking to win Nexstar National Dance Regional Competition in Sparta, NJ. The choreographer, Lauren Mudrick, won a Nexstar Choreography Award. The group also received the coveted Golden Ticket and invitation to the World Dance Competition. These awards are the only way to be eligible to compete in the World Dance Competition.
The 4th annual World Dance Championship was held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center on Tuesday, August 1st. Pizazz! Elite team competed as Semi-Finalists, along side 27 studios from France, Japan, England and numerous states throughout the United States. The competition was on an official live broadcast/USTREAM on their website for all to watch and cheer for their competitors.
