KRHS edges Wallkill in girls softball

— Kittatinny Regional High School defeated Wallkill Valley Regional High School in varsity softball on Thursday, May 11. The final score was 3-1. The game took place at Kittatinny Regional High School in Hampton Township.
Kittatinny's Nellie Choma scored the first run of the game in the fifth inning. Wallkill Valley tied the game in the sixth inning after Ariel Milligan drove in Janecia Cabrera with a single.
Alexis Cooke hit an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth to give Kittatinny a two-run lead. In the role of pitcher Cooke earned the win, allowing only one unearned run in seven innings of work, while allowing a walk and three hits and striking out nine.
Team records: Kittatinny Cougars 10-10. Wallkill Valley Rangers 7-11.
