— What do you get when you combine random acts of kindness, caring kids, and a brave principal?

The Tulsa Trail ALS “Ice” Tea Challenge.

During the week of Sept. 29, the second and third grade students were challenged by their teachers to raise money for the ALS Association through random acts of kindness. Each student who donated money was treated to a cup of iced tea.

As an additional bonus, if the students raised $200, Tulsa Trail principal Mr. Byrne volunteered to get doused with ice water.

Not only did the students reach their goal, they surpassed it by raising $653.70 for the ALS Association.

On Monday, Oct. 6, the entire school gathered outside to see the principal take on the ice bucket challenge.
