April 9
Jacob Bradshaw, 19, of Wantage, pled guilty to third-degree theft and fourth-degree forgery.
In October of 2011 defendant and several co-defendants produced counterfeit money using scanners and printers to buy marijuana and then they resold the marijuana for real money. He will also be resentenced to a prior theft charge from 2010.
A grand jury indictment charges Douglas A. Modrow, 66, of Stillwater, with distribution of child pornography, a second-degree crime and two counts of possession of child pornography, fourth-degree crimes.
April 12
William J. Maloney, 33, of Montague was indicted with terroristic threats, a third-degree crime, and criminal restraint, a third-degree crime.
An indictment charges Richard J. Dobrowolski, 33, of Vernon, with forgery, a third-degree crime, theft, a third-degree crime, terroristic threats, a third-degree crime and contempt, a fourth-degree crime.
Christopher M. Crane, 41, of Franklin, was indicted with failure to register under Megan’s Law, a fourth-degree crime, two counts of bad checks, fourth-degree crimes, and forgery, a third-degree crime.
A Brent E. Bloom, 19, of Andover, was indicted with two counts of bias intimidation, third-degree crimes, and criminal mischief, a fourth-degree crime.
April 13
Steven D. Hoepfner 34, of Dover, was sentenced to one year probation, ordered to perform 20 hours of community service, submit to random urine monitoring, submit to a mental health evaluation and follow all recommendations made, and attend AA three times per week and obtain a sponsor. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim in this matter. He must pay total fines and penalties of $155 and submit a DNA sample as his expense.
He pled guilty on Dec. 19, 2011 to stalking, a crime of the fourth degree. In pleading guilty, Hoepfner admitted to sending threats via text messages to the victim on or about Aug. 1, 2011.
Matthew V. Zingone, 21, of Newton, was sentenced to three years drug court probation, was ordered to serve 270 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility and was given credit for 149 days served. He must pay total fines and penalties of $155, pay restitution in the amount of $400 and submit a DNA sample as his expense.
He pled guilty on Jan. 31, to burglary, a crime of the third degree, and to violation of probation. He admitted he unlawfully entered a residence in Green Township on or about Dec. 22, 2011 with the purpose to commit a crime. He was serving a probationary term at the time of the offense.
Dennis Gordon, 45, of Bangor, Pa., was sentenced to two years probation and 60 days incarceration to be served in SLAP.
He pled guilty on Feb. 21, to criminal restraint, a third-degree crime, and simple assault, a disorderly persons offense.
Corey S. Johnson, 25, of Stroudsburg, Pa., was sentenced to four years New Jersey State Prison with a one year parole disqualifier and was given credit for 241 days served. He must pay total fines and penalties of $280 and submit a DNA sample at his expense.
He pled guilty on Feb. 14 to possession of a firearm without a carry permit, a second-degree crime, and theft of a handgun, a crime of the third degree.
Johnson admitted to taking a gun that belonged to his then-employer in Hampton Township on or about Feb. 1, 2010.
Shawn Donohue, 21, of Glenwood, pled guilty to assault by auto, a fourth-degree crime, and driving while intoxicated.
Donohue admitted to driving under the influence on or about Oct. 24, 2009 in Vernon Township and having a motor vehicle accident that caused bodily injury to a passenger in the vehicle.
Jennifer A. Lash, 37, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to two years probation, was ordered to continue outpatient therapy and continue taking prescribed medications. She must pay total fines and penalties of $155 and submit a DNA sample as her expense.
She pled guilty on Feb. 21, 2012 to escape, a crime of the third degree. Lash admitted that she attempted to remove herself from official detention by slipping out of handcuffs and running for the door while she was handcuffed to a holding bench in Hopatcong Police Department on or about Oct. 21, 2011.
April 16
Zachary Wurzbach, 20, of Newton, pled guilty to aggravated assault and 10 counts of burglary, all third-degree crimes.
Wurzbach admitted that on May 12, 2010 in Wantage he assaulted a juvenile and that on Jan. 3, 2012, in Hampton he burglarized 10 vehicles.
Thomas C. Piscotty, 34, of Andover, pled guilty to four counts of burglary, all crimes of the third degree and one count of receipt of stolen property, a crime of the fourth degree.
Piscotty admitted that he illegally entered several residences in Stillwater, Hampton and Sparta townships between Aug. 5, 2010 and Aug. 31, 2010 with the aid of a co-defendant. Property was taken from all residences and they shared the proceeds. Defendant also admitted that on Aug. 31, 2010, he received property from another knowing same was stolen.
Ryan O'Doherty, 20, of Newton, pled guilty to distribution of CDS, a third-degree crime, possession of CDS, a third-degree crime and possession of CDS, a third-degree crime.
O'Doherty admitted that during Dec. 1, through Jan. 5, 2012, he was in possession of heroin. He further admitted that while in Newton he sold heroin.
Nancy Fitzsimmons, 58, of Andover, pled guilty to five counts of burglary and one count of attempted nurglary, all crimes of the third degree.
In pleading guilty, Fitzsimmons admitted that she aided a co-defendant who illegally entered several residences in Hampton and Stillwater townships between July 7, 2010 and Aug. 17, 2010, taking property from each. Both Fitzsimmons and the co-defendant shared in the proceeds of the thefts.
Meagan M. Sheplak, 28, of Andover, pled guilty to burglary, a third-degree crime, four counts of third-degree theft, one count of fourth-degree theft and criminal mischief, a crime of the fourth degree.
In pleading guilty, Sheplak admitted that she aided a co-defendant, who took personal property belonging to another in Stillwater Township on or about Aug. 10, 2010 and caused damage in excess of $500 while doing so. She further admitted to aiding a co-defendant in illegally entering a residence in Hampton Township on or about Aug. 13, 2010 and, between Aug. 13, 2010 and Aug. 27, 2010 in Hampton, Fredon, Stillwater and Lafayette townships, the co-defendant took personal property belonging to others and they both shared in the proceeds from the thefts.
Matthew L. Stanchak, 30, of Stanhope, pled guilty to possession of CDS, a third-degree crime, and the motor vehicle offenses of driving while suspended.
Stanchak admitted that he was in possession of heroin on Dec. 17, 2012, in the Borough of Hopatcong during a routine motor vehicle stop.
Leslie Fischer, 47, of Vernon, pled guilty to theft, a third-degree crime.
Fischer admitted that between Jan. 17 and April 16, 2011 she stole from a family member money in the amount of $18,883.46.
Brian C. Houlday, 25, of Lafayette, pled guilty to burglary and theft, both crimes of the third degree.
In pleading guilty, Houlday admitted to illegally entering a residence in Sparta Township on or about June 21, 2011 and taking cash and property.
Adam Brewer, 44, of Jersey City, pled guilty to one count of burglary, a third-degree crime.
On Oct. 27, 2010 the defendant committed the crime of burglary by breaking into High Point Solutions located in Sparta, and taking over a hundred thousand dollars worth of computer equipment.
April 17
Edward Dorst Jr., 33, of Franklin, pled guilty to two counts of violation of special sentence under Megan’s Law, fourth-degree crimes.
April 20
Steven Marks, 52, of Montague, was sentenced to one year probation.
He pled guilty on Dec. 12, 2011, to failure to notify police of change of address and status under Megan’s Law, a fourth-degree crime.
Stephen Ammacher, 33, of Franklin, was sentenced to four years probation with 90 days jail (63 days credit and 53 days GAP time). He must also under a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, undergo random drug testing, submit a DNA sample, maintain employment, attend AA/NA and get sponsor, pay total $780 restitution to victims and $780 in fines/fees.
He pled guilty on Feb. 27, 2012, to third-degree burglary.
Between June 15 and June 16, 2011 he entered six different vehicles throughout Franklin and Hamburg taking various items.
Michael Solicito, 28, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., was sentenced to one year probation with a six-month NJ driver’s license suspension on condition that he serve 50 hours community service, undergo random drug testing, maintain employment, take defensive driving course, submit a DNA sample and pay $344 in fines and fees.
He pled guilty on Dec. 19, 2011, to third-degree eluding and to motor vehicle offense of careless driving.
He failed to stop for a State Trooper attempting to pull him over for speeding in Sandyston Township in April of 2011 and continued to travel into Pennsylvania.
April 23
Corey Winkler, 22, of Sparta pled guilty to one count of terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, both third-degree crimes.
On Dec. 11, 2011 defendant entered a 7-11 in Sparta Township brandishing a knife and asking the clerk “Are you scared?”
