SUSSEX COUNTY — Join the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office, Sheriff’s office, NJ State Police, Andover, Byram, Franklin, Hardyston, Hopatcong, Newton, Sparta and the Vernon police departments and the Center for Prevention & Counseling in a countywide prescription drug disposal day. This initiative seeks to prevent increased pill abuse, theft, and is a safe and responsible way to dispose of unwanted or outdated medications while protecting family, community and the environment.

Sussex County residents can visit local collection sites in Andover Township, Byram, Franklin, Hardyston, Hopatcong, Montague, Newton, Sussex, Sparta and Vernon on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Safely get rid of prescription drugs that are expired, just sitting in the medicine cabinet or over-the-counter medications that no longer needed.
