FREDON — The Fredon Fire Department recently helped the girls of the Kittatinny Service Unit, Girl Scout Troop 5624, earn their Safety Award.

The girls had the chance to explore the interior of both a fire truck and an emergency vehicle, and then successfully learned the proper technique for a stop, drop and roll.

Afterwards all the girls were given the opportunity to operate the fire hose.
