Jan. 27
Jorge Rodriguez, 37, of Vernon was sentenced to two years probation, 30 days SLAP (three days credit), undergo TASC evaluation, and obtain employment. Fines and costs in the amount of $155.
On Nov. 4, 2010 Rodriguez pled guilty to the third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Feb. 27
Jessica T. Reddin, 22, of Newark pled guilty to criminal mischief, a crime of the third degree. In pleading guilty Reddin admitted that on May 23, 2008, while attending a YMCA camp in Sandyston Township, she damaged a car belonging to an employee of the camp by scraping the paint off with a key.
Reddin was sentenced to two years probation and was ordered to perform 30 days of community service. She must pay restitution in the amount of $1,586, pay total fines and penalties of $155 and submit a DNA sample at her expense.
March 2
John J. Leonawicz, 19, of East Stroudsburg, Penn., was sentenced to two years probation, 60 days in jail to run concurrent to a sentence from Green Township.
Defendant must undergo a TASC evaluation and pay all applicable fees and fines.
On Dec. 21, 2011 Leonawicz pled guilty to the third degree crime of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Casey Veras, 22, of Paterson, was sentenced to 270 days in jail. He must also pay court costs and provide his DNA.
He admitted that while an inmate at the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility, he assaulted a correction officer and spit at two other correction officers.
The incident was investigated by Detective John Lindquist of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office.
March 5
Sean Murray, 21, of Hopatcong pled guilty to possession of CDS, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 27.
He was present in a house when parole officers and local police were executing a parole warrant on another individual. Murray admitted to possessing Xanax in his room, and after obtaining consent to search the home, the officers also found marijuana and paraphernalia in the same location.
Angel Bernabe, 22, of Hampton pled guilty to aggravated assault, a fourth degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 27.
The defendant pulled a knife and stabbed the victim during a fight that took place both inside and outside of a car. He then chased another person around the car with the knife. When the victim attempted to drive away, Bernabe jumped on the hood and ripped a windshield wiper off. This incident took place at the Hampton Quick Check in December of 2011.
Tyler Howarth, 30, of Lafayette pled guilty to theft, a third degree crime.
Sentencing is presently anticipated for March 26, 2012.
He stole $58,616 worth of copper from his employer and sold it at a salvage yard, retaining the profits.
March 9
Victor Albert, 28, of Newton was sentenced to three years probation and 90 days in Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility.
He pled guilty on Jan. 9 to violation of restraining order, a fourth degree crime, and certain persons not to have firearms, a third degree crime.
Warren Jemerson, 31, of Montague, was sentenced to two years probation, three-month driver’s license suspension, and 48 hours IDRC. He must also complete 75 hours of community service, submit a DNA sample and pay a total of $1780 in fines.
He pled guilty on Dec. 19, 2011 to third degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance and driving while intoxicated.
He admitted to possessing a cigarette dipped in PCP during the course of a motor vehicle stop in Hardyston on July 18, 2011.
Vivian Torres, 33, of Mt. Olive was sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours community service.
She pled guilty on Dec. 12, 2011, to aggravated assault, a third degree crime, and resisting arrest, a disorderly persons offense.
Tamar Anderson, 23, of Wantage was sentenced to three years probation on condition that she serve 180 days in jail with credit for 134 already served. She must also submit a DNA sample, attend counseling, have no contact with victims and pay restitution to her victims.
She pled guilty on Jan. 9, 2012, to two counts third degree theft.
While employed as a cleaning person she stole several items of jewelry from two different homes in Sparta and Wantage in June of 2011.
John Zalasky, 32, of Lafayette was sentenced to three years probation on condition that he serve 180 days in jail. He must continue counseling, submit a DNA sample and pay fines of $330.
He pled guilty on Sept. 19, 2011, to third degree burglary and fourth degree
theft.
In April of 2011 he entered an area closed to the public at Dunkin Donuts in Byram and took a cash register drawer filled with money.
March 12
William C. Gebhard, III, 21, of Wantage was arrested on one count of endangering the welfare of a minor, second degree. Gebhard is being held on $50,000 bail with no 10 percent.
The case against Gebhard is being investigated by the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey State Police.
